Creator engine summary
RosterTen creators, two new ones a weekThe roster ramps from zero to ten live creators, two added every week, all posting HydroJug bottles.
WhoEveryday carriers, not fitness gurusCommuters, desk workers, coffee-run regulars and gym-bag people who already film their day with a bottle in frame.
Production7 videos per creator per weekThat is 303 creator videos a month at ten creators, each built on one of five formats and one claims sheet.
PayThree bands, caps from $600 to $1,500Starter $300 base, Standard $500, Premium $800. The caps are $600, $1,000 and $1,500.
Bonus$50 flat past 100,000 viewsOne bonus per creator per month, organic views only. Hitting the cap adds $300, $500 or $700.
ComplianceClaims sheet plus a paid labelCreators quote only HydroJug's own lines and label every paid post. A video that breaks the sheet earns no bonus.
Rule for the categoryNo health outcomes, no kids under 3Bottle talk stays on the bottle. Small-parts warning respected: not suitable for children under 3 years old.
Goal$1 per 1,000 viewsThe simulator lands at $5.74 today with $10,050 of cost. Closing that gap is the work of the first three months.
ReportEvery Monday, one tableOne row per creator: format posted, videos live, views, cost per 1,000 views, bonus status. No need to ask.
DecisionApprove roster, claims sheet, ceilingMonthly ceiling is $15,000 with bonuses excluded. Nothing goes live before the claims sheet is signed off.

Why me, honestly

Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.

At Tabs I built the creator program and the paid ad engine next to it. This is the same playbook pointed at HydroJug: briefs, a hook library, one variable per test, losers killed early. I have not run a water bottle brand. The category is new to me, so the claims sheet comes first.

Why now

  • 1818

    Reviews on the Traveler (32oz)

The Traveler (32oz) in Midnight Bats shows 1818 reviews at 4.6 out of 5. Creators start with a bottle buyers already talk about.

    Published
  • 1213

    Reviews on the Traveler (20oz)

The Traveler (20oz) in Sage shows 1213 reviews at 4.7 out of 5, and it costs $29.99. That is the easiest first bottle to put in a creator's hands.

    Published
  • $54.99

A free shipping line to close on

Free standard shipping on orders over $54.99. Two bottles clear it, so a creator has a real reason to show a pair.

Principles and work channel

  1. One number to protect

Cost per 1,000 views, with a $1 target. The simulator shows $5.74 today, so every format has to earn its place in the weekly mix.

  2. Seven videos, one variable

Each creator posts 7 videos a week from the five formats. Each test changes one variable: the hook, the first shot or the bottle.

  3. Losers killed early

Weak hooks leave the library after the first Monday read. Winners go back to creators as the next brief, with the Sport and Traveler lines first.

  4. Work channel, not email

Briefs, claim questions, drafts and reports live in one team workspace, so a creator gets an answer before the next shoot.

One channel for everything

#briefs

Briefs, drafts, reviews and the weekly numbers

Illustrative
  1. MartaMon 8:30 AM

This week: Morning ritual with the Everyday Tumbler 20oz at $34.99. Hook is "Your Morning Ritual." Seven videos, one variable: change only the first shot.

  2. JonasTue 10:15 AM

Can I say my Traveler keeps ice cold for a full day?

Only for the Sport. Its page says it keeps your drinks ice-cold for up to 24 hours. Not on the Traveler.

  3. LenaWed 4:00 PM

Draft for the Coffee Traveler is up. Caption says it stays hot all day.

Sent back. Use the sheet line: "Keeps drinks hot up to 6 hours, cold up to 12". Reshoot the caption card only.

  4. Report botAppThu 9:05 AM

Jonas's Sport video passed 100,000 views, organic only. The $50 flat bonus is queued. One bonus per creator per month.

  5. Report botAppMon 7:00 AM

Monday report is ready: videos live per creator, views by format, cost per 1,000 views against the $1 target, and the hooks we killed.

  6. MartaFri 11:30 AM

Check: two more creators went live this week and ten is the target. Who still needs a bottle shipped before Monday's brief?

The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Part 5 of 15

Five formats

  1. 24-hour ice test

    Brief 01

    24-hour ice test

    “Made for Movement.”

Fill the Sport with ice in the morning, film it through the day, show the bottle again after 24 hours. One take per check-in.

  2. Customize reveal

    Brief 02

    Customize reveal

    “Designed by You.”

Show the design choice, the finished bottle, then one daily use. Hand and bottle in frame, no text over the product.

  3. Morning ritual

    Brief 03

    Morning ritual

    “Your Morning Ritual.”

One continuous kitchen shot: fill, lid on, out the door. Natural light, original sound, Everyday Tumbler centered.

  4. Slim can cooler

    Brief 04

    Slim can cooler

    “Keep It Cold.”

Slide a 12 oz slim can into the Can Cooler, close on the cup holder or a picnic table. Soft drinks or sparkling water only.

  5. Desk refill check

    Brief 05

    Desk refill check

    “Always Within Reach.”

Fixed camera on a desk through the workday. Show every refill, the straw down and the 20oz Traveler within arm's reach.

Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “Keeps drinks hot up to 6 hours, cold up to 12”, “One bottle. Two ways to hydrate. Your choice.”, “Free standard shipping on orders over $54.99.”. Product names are said as printed.

Part 6 of 15

Where creators come from

Four sources in

  • Customers who already review

The Traveler (20oz) page shows 1213 reviews at 4.7 out of 5. Buyers who already post about their bottle are the first people I would invite.

  • The Ambassadors/Affiliates page

The site footer links to Ambassadors/Affiliates. I have not read its terms. I would start there and build on what you already run, not replace it.

  • Commute, desk and gym creators

Creators already filming coffee runs, desk setups and gym bags, where the Coffee Traveler, Traveler and Sport fit without a script.

  • Customize audiences

The Customize page promises "Designed by You." Creators with a team, a club or a gift list can turn a custom bottle into a reveal video.

Five filters, fewer each step

  1. 1A bottle already in frame

Their last videos show a bottle or tumbler in daily use, not placed for the camera.

  2. 2An adult on camera

The creator is an adult and shows their own face and routine.

  3. 3Clean light and sound

Daylight, steady hands and audio we can hear without captions.

  4. 4Posts on a steady beat

Enough recent posts to carry 7 videos a week without recycling the same shot.

  5. 5Accepts the claims sheet

Agrees to quote only the sheet and label every paid post before the first brief.

Part 7 of 15

Who we want, who we skip

  • The commuter

Car, train and cup holder every morning. Films the route with the Traveler 20oz, not a studio.

    Likely product: Sage

  • The coffee-run regular

Hot first drink, cold refill later. Natural fit for the Coffee Traveler and its hot and cold line.

    Likely product: Spice

  • The gym-bag creator

Training clips with the Sport 32oz in the bag, on the floor, in the hand.

    Likely product: Midnight Bats

  • The desk worker

Fixed shot, long day, refills counted. Ease2o 32oz with the water-level window on camera.

    Likely product: Sweet Pea

  • The can person

Picnics, tailgates, patio. Soft drinks and sparkling water in the Can Cooler (Slim).

    Likely product: Flannel

  • The gifter

Builds a custom bottle for a friend, a team or a teacher on an Everyday Tumbler 20oz and films the reveal.

    Likely product: Clay

Left off, every time

Always left out: creators who would make health promises, anyone who shows children under 3 handling a bottle with small parts, and content with alcohol around the Can Cooler. Anyone who will not label paid posts also stays out.

Claims sheet

Approved, word for word

Quoted exactly as the brand publishes it.

  • “Next Level Hydration”

Any video, as the opening or closing line

  • “Goes Where You Go.”

Traveler videos: commute, gym bag, desk

  • “Keeps drinks hot up to 6 hours, cold up to 12”

    Coffee Traveler videos only

  • “One bottle. Two ways to hydrate. Your choice.”

Ease2o videos showing straw and chug spout

  • “Fits 12 oz Slim Cans”

    Can Cooler (Slim) videos only

  • “Cup Holder Friendly”

Ease2o videos shot in a car

  • “Free standard shipping on orders over $54.99.”

Closing line, read exactly with the threshold

Never said

Each one with the reason it stays out.

  • Drinking from this bottle will help you lose weight

Health outcome. Creators describe the bottle, not the body.

  • This bottle will improve your energy and focus

Health outcome the brand never states.

  • Keeps ice for 24 hours on every bottle

The 24-hour wording belongs to the Sport. Other bottles carry other lines.

  • Safe for toddlers

The product page warns it is not suitable for children under 3 years old.

  • Free shipping on every order

The offer applies only on orders over $54.99.

  • The best bottle on the market

A comparison the brand has not made and we cannot support.

To confirm with the brand

Held until someone on the brand side signs off.

  • Completely leakproof

The Sage page says leakproof with the straw down. Confirm the other lids before any creator says it.

  • Dishwasher-safe

The Sage description mentions a dishwasher-safe build, but the line was cut off. Confirm the exact wording.

Part 10 of 15

Pay and bonus

  • Starter

    $300–600

    a month, by band

For newer creators with a clean routine and steady posting, ramping toward the seven-video week.

    Bonus at the cap: $300

  • Standard

    $500–1,000

    a month, by band

For proven creators whose videos already carry views, with a higher cap that rewards consistency.

    Bonus at the cap: $500

  • Premium

    $800–1,500

    a month, by band

For the few whose hooks repeatedly beat the library, with the top cap and the largest cap bonus.

    Bonus at the cap: $700

  1. Under 100,000 views

    $0

The base pay covers the work.

  2. 100,000 views

    +$50 flat

    Whatever the band.

  3. 1,000,000 views

    Top-up to your cap

Bonus = band cap − base pay.

  • One bonus per creator per month, so one lucky video cannot reset the budget.
  • Bonus is paid per video: the first video past 100,000 views earns $50 flat.
  • Organic views only. Boosted or paid views do not count toward the bonus.
  • No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the category rule, however far it travels.

Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.

The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.

Part 11 of 15

Simulator

At ten creators and seven videos a week, the simulator shows $5.74 per 1,000 views against the $1 target. It takes 4.2% viral videos or a median of 21,711 views.

Above the $1 target at these inputs.

To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.

Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.

The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.

Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

From organic to paid

From organic to paid

  1. Pick the winners

Only organic videos that beat the median in the Monday report move on. The $50 bonus winners go first.

  2. Get written rights

The creator signs off on paid use before anything is boosted, with the post still under their name.

  3. Test as an ad

One variable per test: same video, new first shot or new caption line. Run beside the original.

  4. Scale or kill

A variant that holds the cost per 1,000 views target scales. Everything else is killed early.

From the video to the checkout

  • Format video lands on the page of the bottle it shows, not the home page.
  • Customize reveal links to the Customize page.
  • Shelf viewers get the Retail Locator link.
  • Closing line: Free standard shipping on orders over $54.99.
  • Seasonal videos link to New Arrivals.

Part 15 of 15

Category rules

Water bottle rules for creators

Water bottles are a low-risk category if creators stay on the product. These six rules keep every HydroJug video inside the brand's own words.

  • No health outcomes

Creators describe the bottle, not the body. No weight, energy, skin or focus promises. The safe lines are the ones on the claims sheet, such as "Next Level Hydration".

  • Hot and cold, product by product

The Sport page carries the 24-hour ice line. The Coffee Traveler carries "Keeps drinks hot up to 6 hours, cold up to 12". Never swap a line between bottles.

  • Respect the small-parts warning

Several pages warn: "Not suitable for children under 3 years old." No child under 3 handles or appears with a bottle in any video.

  • Leakproof only as written

The Sage page says leakproof with the straw down. Show the straw down and do not shake a bottle in a bag unless the sheet says it holds.

  • Cans mean soft drinks

The Can Cooler fits 12 oz slim cans. Creators show soft drinks or sparkling water. No alcohol content, no drinking-game framing.

  • Label every paid post

Use the platform's paid partnership tool on every post. Prices and the free shipping threshold are read exactly: $54.99 and over.

The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
